Soka eBook Store allows users to purchase foreign-language titles authored by Soka Gakkai International (SGI) President Daisaku Ikeda and Soka Gakkai-related titles.
You can read eBooks on your computer, eReading device, or mobile phone.
Our eBooks are available in two formats EPUB and PDF. Both formats are compatible with most computers and devices (tablet, iPhone and iPod touch).
EPUB- Most eBook–reading devices support the EPUB format.

You need Internet connection only when downloading the eBook for the first time.
Once the eBook is downloaded and saved, you do not need an Internet connection to start reading your eBook.

Before purchasing your eBook, you are encouraged to download/view a sample eBook to make sure that your computer and/or device supports EPUB and/or PDF file format.
Soka eBook Store does not use usernames and passwords for login. Instead, we use OpenID, a decentralized digital identity service. OpenID enables you to login to Soka eBook Store with existing username and password on Google, Yahoo or other social networks.
There are number of sites that are dedicated OpenID providers. Signing up for an identity provider only takes a few minutes, and once you do so, you not only gain access to Soka eBook Store, but hundreds of other sites that use the OpenID system. If you do not already have an OpenID, click on OpenID in the “Member Login” interface.
You may use your credit card. Credit cards accepted by our eBook store are Visa, MasterCard and JCB.
Soka eBook Store does not handle any information on credit card transactions. All credit card transactions are handled by AXES Payment (formerly Zero), a payment service provider.
All information required for a transaction is dealt with by AXES on their secure systems and are not stored by Soka eBook Store.

At the moment eBooks sold on Soka eBook Store are priced only in US dollars.

AXES will use the exchange rate on the billing date, not the date you purchased your eBook(s).
Once downloaded, your eBooks will be saved to your computer or device.
eBooks purchased from the Soka eBook Store can be downloaded up to eight (8) times in each format (EPUB, PDF version) at no additional cost.
There is no time limit, just download limit. So in case a system crash or a device change, all you have to do is to download another copy.
However, if you download a book more than eight times, you will need to purchase the title again.

What is OpenID and how do I get an OpenID ?
OpenID allows you to use an existing account to sign in to multiple websites without needing to create new passwords. With OpenID, your password is only given to your identity provider, and that provider then confirms your identity to Soka eBook Store. Other than your provider, no websites ever sees your password.

To change the book language, simply select your language preference from the 'Select Book Language' list at the top of the page.
eBooks are currently available in 12 languages. eBooks in other languages will be added to our catalog as they become available.

Yes, both EPUB and PDF formats are printable. eBooks downloaded on EPUB format are printable on Adobe Digital Editions.
